Elioth Krahler

Elioth Krahler

CS graduate in Bismarck, ND. I build forecasting systems and the delivery pipelines that put them in production.

Open to ML engineer, DevOps, Fullstack, and backend roles

Looking for remote work, and open to relocating.

Curious first. Shipped second.

I learn whatever the problem needs: solar forecasting, reactor physics, then Kubernetes, Terraform and a Java API to build this site. Each one is shipped and written up, including what broke. Physics is where I learned to check a model against a known answer before trusting it.

Three things I built

Open any one for the full write-up: what it is, the autopsy, and what I'd change.

What I'm working on now

Pulled from GitHub through the API each time the page loads, with the last build's copy as a fallback.

  • krahlerTypeScript -

Personal site and its delivery pipeline: React app on Azure Static Web Apps via GitHub Actions, Terraform and OIDC federation, with no long-lived secrets.

  • neutro-surrogatePython -

Physics-informed PyTorch surrogate for multi-zone 1D reactor diffusion (k-eff and flux), built on a from-scratch finite-volume solver verified against analytic theory.

  • SolarCastPython -

Solar irradiance (GHI) forecasts 6 to 48 hours ahead: an XGBoost and LSTM ensemble that corrects the Open-Meteo forecast against NSRDB satellite data, 24% lower RMSE than the forecast alone. Tested Python package with CI.

Learned by building this site

These are newer to me than the rest, so they're listed apart. Each one links to the file in this repo that shows it, so you can judge the work instead of taking my word.

Experience

Resource Revolution: Refresh Technician

2021-2022

Led the Refresh team through a hardware refresh cycle. Wrote PowerShell to automate the refresh process, replacing a manual per-machine procedure (infrastructure automation, not a listed duty). Backed up the IT department during staffing shortages, covering user support.

DoorDash

2022 - Present

Independent delivery driver. Kept it going alongside a full CS degree, and now alongside my job search and the projects on this site.

Goes straight to a Spring Boot API on its own Azure Container App, not a form service.
